Tentative Mah Jongg Tournament Schedule
Wednesday, September 9th8:00 AM: Sign-in opens. Please arrive early to sign in. Visit our vendors before, between, and after play.9:00 AM: Tournament play begins with the first of three morning rounds. All players should be seated by 8:45 AM.Lunch Break: Enjoy a delicious filet mignon lunch (Gluten Free) after the morning rounds.Afternoon Session: Play resumes at 2pm with two additional rounds. During gameplay, we’ll hold our raffle drawing and post winning numbers to keep the schedule on track.Sip and Shop will be open to the public. All Mah Jongg participants will receive one drink ticket thanks to our generous sponsor.** Thursday, September 10th**9:00 AM: Tournament play resumes.1:00 PM: Play is expected to conclude.Awards & Closing: We’ll announce the 50/25/25 raffle winners, Second Chance winners, and Mah Jongg Tournament winners. Festivities should conclude around 3:00 PM.

Mini-High Stakes & Social Play on Tuesday Evening (8th), at Quail Point Lodge - this event is sold out Separate fees to participate at Quail Point Lodge.Play begins at 3pm. Three rounds of high stakes play concluding around 6pm. Box Dinner will be provided by our generous sponsor.
Mini MahJongg!!A few details about the pre-tournament play.The event is held at Quail Point Lodge, an event center located 1/2 mile from the hotel.
Hotel is located at: 200 Hi Cir N, Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657
Quail Point is at 107 Twilight Ln, Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657Play should start at 3PM. Please plan to arrive at 2:30PM to choose your table.
Players do not need to bring sets to Quail Point.
For High Stakes, There will be no permanent east. There will be 3 rounds (12 games) with a 15 minute break between rounds.
For Social, players set their own pace.
Play will end about 6:30PM.
A light box supper will be provided about 6:30PM.
Water, and complimentary wine will be available provided by our generous sponsor- Glena Yates form Yates Winery.High Stakes Rules:
-same rules as the tournament, which were distributed under separate email.
-instead of points, players at the table will pay the winner of mahjongg ten times the points value as set forth in the tournament rules.
Example: Winner of a 25 point hand will collect $2.50 from each of the other three players. If self-picked, $3.50.
Wall game will be $1.00 on the wall and payable to next player to get mahjongg. If no subsequent winner, each player keeps his/her "wall" money.
Bring your one dollar bills. We are keeping the game simple for our first foray into high stakes for pre-tournament play.Second Chance!!On Thursday only, we will have a Second Chance opportunity. This is an opportunity for those of you who may have had a bad Wednesday but are optimstic about Thursday. Second Chance participants will have an additional tally of their scores from Thursday morning only, and for those who have enrolled, the top scores for that day will receive a cash prize. Maybe you can't win the tournament but it is a second chance to win money at the tournament.Sip & Shop will follow at the end of day-Wednesday. Each participant will receive one ticket for a glass of red or white wine, drink, or soft drink. The Vendors will be open and the shopping continues! Fun times for all.

Besides MahJongg, there is a lot to explore for everyone. For our hotel guests, we have some great deals on golf fees, free tennis and pickleball courts for an hour ($25 for extra time), and spa packages. Plus, the temperature controlled pool is conveniently located next to the resort. Kids love the jungle kids club and the Whitewater 18 hole putting course with exotic birds. And a new addition, is the only floating pool in North America sitting perfectly on the edge of Lake LBJ at our Waterfront Beach & Marina. There truly is something for everyone.
